SERVICES

AWWIN Professional Development

Provides an introduction to basic computing, typing, and software skills training. Classes are also held on resume writing and critique, practice interviews, and dressing for success. The classes are a thirty-week session. Free childcare is provided for our clients while they attend the classes.

Financial Assistance

AWWIN will assist with providing temporary emergency housing, utility, food and transportation stipends.

Holiday Wish List

Provides vouchers for holiday dinners, purchase toys and (or) clothing from each child's Christmas wish list. Click here for more information.

Educational/Career Counseling

Provides educational assessments and career counseling. Women that wish to continue their education after the Professional Development are linked with higher educational institutions.

Some of our clients have received employment with such agencies as:

    Some of our clients are attending such institutions as:

  • Armstrong Atlantic State University
  • Ogeechee Technical College
  • Altamaha Technical College

    AWWIN Keys (Pilot Program)

    AWWIN donated to Rhasheda Jackson a 1991 Ford Escort Wagon, she is a graduate of AWWIN Professional Development.  Charles Davis saw the AWWIN Keys segment on WTOC, he called to donate this car. The car was in good condition. She only needed to get a tune up

    and tires.
