Sarahlyn U. Argrow Born in Fort Pierce Florida Sarahlyn was also partially raised in Savannah, GA after moving to Savannah in 1969. She is the daughter of the late Robert Young and Mrs. Catherine Sneed, who resides in Sylvania Georgia. Sarahlyn is the mother of five lovely grown daughters named Dayavona (Day), Daysha, Catherine, Katie and Daveeda. She is also the grandmother of six. Sarahlyn attended public elementary and middle school in Sylvania, GA, West Palm Beach Florida and Savannah GA. She attended High school in Savannah, Georgia, but Ms Argrow completed the Georgia High School Equivalency Test also known as the GED. Sarahlyn worked various jobs prior to becoming employed By L’Oreal USA (formerly Carson Products as the EDI Coordinator for seven and a half years); where she received four promotions and moved from an hourly wage of $8.00 an hour to a salaried position of over $60,000.00 dollars a year. It was also at L’Oreal USA where she received the resources and support to start AWWIN, Inc. Driven by self determination and God, Sarahlyn went on to offer the services and opportunities given to her to other women through AWWIN. Sarahlyn’s foresight and vision regarding the plight of single working women have been central to the success of AWWIN, Inc. Sarahlyn is actively involved in the key management and strategic decisions at AWWIN, Inc and plays a major role in the technical development of AWWIN Professional Development (a thirty week computer job readiness and job referral class). A significant portion of her time is devoted to meeting with clients, potential funders, seeking grants, fundraising and the day to day operations of AWWIN, Inc. Under Sarahlyn’s leadership, AWWIN mission has been to deliver a full continuum of support services to single working women and their children who are economically disadvantaged by providing an array of services that build self-reliance and foster personal, educational and professional achievement. In addition to her passion for assisting the single working woman, Sarahlyn is interested in ways to slow down the rising rate of teenage pregnancy, she currently sits on the newly formed group in Savannah, Georgia entitled PATHS (Promoting Awareness of Teen Health and Sexuality). She enjoys public speaking, motivating others and is working on her first book. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Sarahlyn attends Living Hope Community Fellowship Church in Savannah, Georgia and serves on the Usher and Finance Ministries.
